Rides, displays, stalls, games, performances, fireworks! This is something Singapore could really use- a festival once in a year with mind blowing stuff. Ok call me swaku cos i havent really been to much out of the country, but this funfair was a real eye opener.
The stupidest thing i did was to not charge my camera! Took sparing shots, mostly of the animals, which i felt were the highlights......... anyway here goes...
Log Cutting competition and a view of the ferris wheel. Those blokes are strong. Seriously.
The toughest men i have ever seen hacking away at logs to see who does it the quickest!
Canine SOC!
Cat competition! judging felines. In my opinion the highlight of the fair. This ginger's a moggie (no specific breed), but stocky and indeed well built. One of the cutest gingers i have ever seen!

then it was off to the dog show! From the cutest cats to the biggest, BIGASS show winning monster dogs. The biggest canines i have ever seen!
Note the size of the dog relative to the size of an average human girl. The bugger is 80 kg! This bloke's a St Bernard, if i am not mistaken
Fuzzy Alaskan Malamutes. Easily mistaken for Siberian huskies, these guys look like little wolves!

Another interesting aspect of the fair were the SHOWBAGS that were on sale everywhere. From chocolate showbags to Pirates of the Carribean, they have everything! Interesting stuff. Basically these are bags with plenty of food and gimmicks inside. OF course some of them are simply stuff for kids, but some of these are pretty decent. Bought a Powerade SHOWBAG myself! At 20 bucks, this bag contains:
1- HUGE Powerade Sling bag
2- 500 ml bottle of Powerade (obviously)
3- Coke water bottle
4- Beach Volleyball!
5- Bag of chips
6- Funfair gimmick
Cool stuff, i say.
All in all it was a blast. Period.
